Hola!
I’m
Owner and designer of Designs by Fugi or DBF for short. I would like to thank you for visiting and appreciate you taking the time to stop by to learn more about who we are, what we do, and especially reading my story.
Designs by Fugi was founded in 2010 as a passion for creativity, and a desire to share meaningful designs with others. Every piece and every idea behind DBF carries a part of that journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share it with you.
I’ve been blessed with a strong creative spirit, a love for nature, and a deep sense of fulfillment when creating meaningful works of art.
Creativity runs deep in my family. My grandmother on my mom side, was a self-taught seamstress and handcrafted designer in her time. She would hand craft her clothes, our clothes, bedding, and themed Christmas outfits showcasing the finest details for all her displayed decorations. From my father, I inherited the gift of building and working with my hands. I spent countless hours with him in the garage building retail cabinetry, vehicle trailers, doing electrical work, and creating detailed hand-carved wood pieces.
I studied at the Art Institute in Laguna Beach, California, where I refined my skills across many artistic mediums. While exploring different forms of creativity, I found my true passion in graphic design. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with a minor in Special Effects Animation.
My desire to keep learning never stopped. I later continued my education and earned certifications in web design, project management, and even as a field building code inspector. I believe you can never know enough when it comes to creativity and growth.
Over the years, and through my constant need to feed my creative side, I discovered construction—more specifically, the art of building by hand. I became fascinated with the process of designing something on paper and then bringing it to life in the real world.
Those experiences shaped who I am today and continue to inspire the work I create through Designs by Fugi. Whether you’re just exploring, looking for inspiration, or considering working with us, your visit is sincerely appreciated. Thank you for being here and supporting my small business.
With
Fugi G.
